In order to use your domain name with your KamHost hosting account, your domain needs to be pointed to our nameservers.

What Are Nameservers?

Nameservers are part of the Domain Name System (DNS). They act like a directory that tells the internet where your website is hosted.

When someone types your domain name into a browser, the nameservers direct the request to the correct server where your website files are stored.

KamHost Nameservers

Please use the following nameservers for your domain:

  • dns1.supremedns.com
  • dns2.supremedns.com
  • dns3.supremedns.com
  • dns4.supremedns.com

These nameservers connect your domain name to your KamHost hosting server. If your domain is registered with us, it is already configured to use these nameservers by default.

How to Update Nameservers (General Steps)

You need to update your nameservers at the company where you registered your domain name (your domain registrar), not inside your KamHost hosting control panel if the domain is not registered with us.

  1. Log in to your domain registrar account
  2. Locate your domain name
  3. Find the DNS or Nameserver settings
  4. Replace the existing nameservers with the following:
    • dns1.supremedns.com
    • dns2.supremedns.com
    • dns3.supremedns.com
    • dns4.supremedns.com
  5. Save your changes

Note: These are general steps. The exact process may vary depending on your domain registrar. If you have any difficulty updating your nameservers, please contact your domain registrar’s support team for assistance.

DNS Propagation

After updating your nameservers, DNS changes need time to update across the internet. This is called DNS propagation.

  • Usually takes: 1 – 6 hours
  • Sometimes can take: up to 24 – 48 hours

During this time, your website may work for some people but not others. This is normal because DNS information is updating across different internet service providers around the world. Once DNS propagation is complete, your website will work for everyone.
